Reporting Absences

  • Parents or guardians must notify the  attendance office within 48 hours (excluding weekends) when their child will not be in school.   Three ways to let us know your child will be absent- 
  • Call the school - 719-495-5270
  • Email- fes@d49.org
  • Put your absence in powerschool
  • Please call, email, or put in powerschool by 9:00am if your child is going to be absent.  When calling in we will need the child’s name, the teacher’s name, and the reason for the absence.  If necessary please send a written excuse or doctor’s note the following day.
  • The auto-dialer will go out at 10:00AM to let you know if your son/daughter was marked absent. Please make sure to notify the school as soon as possible by using one of the three choices listed above.
